When I first started Little Works of Art back in 2015, a nappy-less portion of the session was totally expected, but as time's gone on, I've noticed more and more parents are requesting to keep their babies covered or in an outfit for all their photos.
This totally comes down to personal preference, and choosing not to have photos of your little one in their birthday suit doesn't mean you'll miss out on any poses or on the number of images we have at the end at all! I can easily keep the same poses, but have a wrap to cover baby up, or dress them in one of my beautiful handmade outfits.
However, I do want to be clear that if you would like to have some nappy-less photos:
Your baby will be made totally comfortable. Babies typically hate being changed because they've been used to the warmth and comfort of the womb, but the photo studio is warm enough that I promise they won't mind - and probably won't even wake up - for this part.
Your baby's modesty will be protected. Newborns are posed in a way that makes sure their privacy is maintained.
I won't mind at all if they pee or poo! I know it can seem embarrassing but newborn photographers are very used to a bit of baby wee or poo, and most of the time we're able to switch out the fabric before parents even notice what's happened.
Baby will also have parts of the session where they are wrapped and/or in an outfit. What are your thoughts?
